- Own the target data architecture for claims and retail: modelling, cataloguing, ownership and exposure as data products
- Guide decisions on integration and sharing patterns and stop ungoverned data movement
- Prepare and shape architecture decisions for the Design Authority
- Make sure data governance keeps pace as analytics, ML and GenAI build on the data products
- Apply enterprise data architecture principles across lakehouse, event streaming and operational stores
- Represent the domain in group enterprise architecture bodies
- Work with platform teams, Data & Analytics and application and integration architects
- No pipeline development, no reporting: you define the architecture data engineering builds against

- 5+ years in data architecture: data modelling, data governance, data integration
- Strong grasp of data product thinking: datasets as owned, discoverable, governed products
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Delta Sharing, medallion architecture)
- Experience with event-driven ingestion, e.g. Kafka
- Experience with legacy-to-modern-platform migrations
- Working knowledge of GDPR, data residency and cross-border data transfer
- Enterprise architecture (TOGAF or equivalent), experience with Design Authority reviews and ADRs
- Strong stakeholder management across platform teams, engineering, compliance and multiple entities
- Nice to have: Databricks or cloud certification, insurance data (claims, retail), Snowflake or Celonis
